Guided Nature Trail to Hiyare Forest

Hiyare Rainforest is a pristinely preserved rainforest that functions as an Animal Rescue Programme. A visit here will bring you very close to injured wild animals that have been rescued and are receiving treatment. The short guided nature walk in the rainforest will enable you to enjoy some endemic flora and fauna that can be seeing in Sinhara Rain forest. The rainforest spans 600 acres and is filled with interesting varieties of fauna and flora.

You will be picked up by an Air conditioned car and driven to Hiyare

8:00

Arrive at the Hiyare forest. A visit here will bring you very close to injured wild animals that have been rescued and are receiving treatment. In most cases the treated animals once healed are released back into the wild. The short guided nature trail at this rain forest is ideal for the clients who do not want to spend long time for trekking.

10:00

Leave the Hiyare and proceed back to your hotel. Arrive at your hotel approximately at 10:30.

Conditions
  • Children 4 Years +11 months and younger are complimentary when accompanied by a paying adult.
  • This activity is subject to cancellation based on inclement weather. Activity can be rescheduled or the payment could be refunded.

Cancellation Policy

  • To receive a full refund, travelers should cancel before 24 hours of the experience starting date in the local time zone. No refunds will be given after that time period.
Know before you go
  • Please be ready and waiting in your hotel lobby 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time.
  • Roundtrip transportation is available from most centrally located Galle, Unawatuna, Koggala and Hikkaduwa hotels. Please arrange pickup from your hotel or a nearby location when you call to confirm your reservation. Pick up time and the time duration will be changed according to the Pickup location.
  • Gratuity is not included and is left to individual discretion.
  • You should wear comfortable clothing.
